Inox Hoa Binh Joint Stock Co (under Hoa Binh Group) and Bank for Investment and Development of Vietnam (Bidv)’s Cau Giay branch on August 5 signed a credit contract worth 362 billion dong for Vietnam’s first cold-rolled stainless steel mill. According to Nguyen Huu Duong, Inox Hoa Binh JSC’s chair of director board, the mill with a capacity of 100,000 tonnes a year and total investment of 800 billion dong will be the biggest one in the Southeast Asia. Once finished, the mill would provide 134,000 tonnes of stainless steel to the market to replace imports and bring Vietnam become the 40th country in the world owning and using this advanced technology. At the same time, the mill would create jobs for 1,500 labourers.
